ISPS Code Auditors course
Introduction
The purpose of the ISPS Code is specifically addressed the security integrity and measures of the entire supply chain in the maritime industry beginning at the place of the origin of the cargo, during transit, entering the port, at storage warehouse or yard, while loading, during sea passage, at discharging port as well delivery at the destination.
There are several sets of processes to ensure the safety, security and reliability of the ISPS Code requirements are fully implemented and complied with and the management tools in ensuring the integrity of the Code by conducting an effective internal audit to the system, and to ensure continuous enhancement and efficient implementation of the Code, internal audit is to be conducted at regular interval as control measures.

Objective
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the necessary skills to be able to plan, prepare  and conduct the Internal Security Audits, in compliance with the ISPS Code requirements.Per guidelines in ISPS Code Part B; Audit, review and amendment 16.58, 16.59, 16.60.
Upon successful completion of the course, the participants are expected to be able to acquire the following learning objectives;
i. Gain an in-depth understanding of the ISPS Code from the perspective of an internal auditor
ii. Identify the necessary traits that an internal auditor should have iii. Learn best-practice methods for establishing an effective internal audit program
iv. Learn how to prepare for, conduct and report the result s of internal audits efficiently and clearly
v. Understand the audit as a management tool

 Planning, preparation, performance, recording, reporting and follow-up of audits  Exercises:
i. Audit plan and schedule ii. Conduct compliance audit iii. Security assessment audit iv. Standard Questionnaire Checklist

Course Methodology
 Interactive lectures, dialogues and presentation.  Will be conducted from a practical and application viewpoint.  Exercises are included to help participants understand application concepts
better and achieve the objective of the course.  Video screening.
